Deep ruby color with some purple at the rim. Lots of raspberry, plum and chocolate on the nose. Medium-full bodied with lots of fresh acidity, silky tannins but slightly disjointed. A long and fresh finish.

Try Barbera with a mushroom risotto, or gnocchi with fresh tomato sauce. It's also great with pasta in a meat or tomato sauce, game and hard cheeses.
